Money for the Modern Girl

Relevant for: Germany, Italy, United Kingdom
Language: English
Main Focus: Financial Independence

This blog follows the thinking and journey to financial independence of a European (and now Brit too!) living in London. Married with one young child, I write about earning more, saving more and investing smartly while living in a HCL (high cost of living) area, taking examples directly from my life. In particular I cover ways to increase your income through work, redundancies and side hustles, savings and tax avoidance strategies, and being smart about your food costs and cooking.

Hi there! I’m a 28-year-old guy living in the South East of England and working as a Software Engineer in London. I write monthly savings reports which document my journey to Financial Independence in the UK and I publish all of my real accounting figures. My blog is filled with a lot of moaning, some Maths, and a good heap of philosophising about happiness. I’m also really into side-hustles; I love exploring and documenting new money-making strategies which help generate passive income.
