London FI March Meetup: Confessions of a wage slave

10th March 2021 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Having a side hustle (or 3) is often seen as fundamental for achieving FIRE. For most of us, however, being an employee forms the bulk of our income during the wealth accumulation phase. With that in mind, the March meetup looks at the importance of your ‘main’ career, and how to keep growing your income steadily on your way to FI.

We’ll share some of the lessons we learned (and mistakes we made) on our own career paths, and talk about what we might have done differently.

As usual, we look forward to hearing all of your experiences and learning from each other.

On the agenda for tonight:

* How to choose the right career
* Tips for maximising your salary (and benefits)
* Negotiating promotions, role changes and new jobs

You can start the conversation by posting in our Facebook group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/londonfi/

This is a live, interactive session, so please enable your webcam and microphone and be prepared to get involved in the discussion

The meeting room will be open 5-10 minutes before the scheduled start time – the URL is available when you RSVP to the event.

If you’re asked for a password in Zoom, type “FIRE”.

NB: If you can’t find the link, please message us before 6pm on the day of the event.
