What I’ve Learned as a FIREstarter – Brighton
17th December 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Although he didn’t realise it at the time, Rob Day became FI(RE) in April 2016 at the age of 46.
In fact – Rob had never heard of Financial Independence until he stumbled across a blog on the subject.
In this talk Rob will share his journey into the world of FIRE and help shine a light on some of the pros as well as the cons of becoming Financially Independent.
A bit about Rob
Rob is by trade a Graphic and UX Designer – after art college, he co-founded and ran an award-winning web design agency for 20+ years which he sold three years ago. He’s fascinated in people and how they tick, and as a result studied Transactional Analysis (psychotherapy) for 3 years whilst running his agency and has enjoyed hosting, facilitating & attending personal development workgroups for over a decade.
Rob now spends his time on various advisory boards, facilitates peer-to-peer workgroups for the likes of MDHUB and Coast to Capital and combines his entrepreneurial, financial and design insights to offer business strategy, mentoring, financial coaching and what he calls ‘Life Design’. He’s also fascinated by Tiny Houses and Poker.
